1000 Gifts: A Father's heart

Sons are a heritage from the Lord,
children a reward from Him.
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are sons born in one's youth.
Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.

Psalm 127:3-5

Blessed beyond measure, my cup overflows.
And I give thanks~

0580
my children

0581
and their daddy

0582
his commitment, his attention, his sacrifice

0583
and his will-do-anything-for-us kind of love

0584
this precious father/daughter relationship

0585
and sons who long to be just like him

0586
a day with his daddy (and his mama, too :)... plus ice cream sundaes, apple pie, and swimming pools... together

0587
his dad's unwavering support, encouragment, and love

0588
a father/son outing, a Nationals baseball game, and nothing but "junkfood" for an entire evening :)

0589
shade at the ballpark!

0590
shopping with my girl... just the two of us

0591
a Chick-fil-a milkshake... to share

0592
and time in the garden before bed

0593
silliness and laughter

0594
the same old jokes that never. get. old.

0595
this family... this treasure... God's grace upon grace every single day

0596
MY daddy... his time, his example, his always & forever love... his wisdom, his presence, his heart...
my very favorite "Pops" in the whole wide world

0597
and the One who makes it all possible... who blesses and blesses and forgives and forgives.
Who comforts and strengthens and enables and protects.
Who heals and rescues and empowers and redeems.
Who loves-- perfectly, unconditionally, and without limit.

"How great is the love the Father has lavished on us,
that we should be called children of God!
And that is what we are!"

1 John 3:1

holy experience

I love the dress, are those crabs? too cute

I also was hoping for an update on the bread? How did it go? Enquiring minds want to know.

Char,

Yep. Those are crabs :) She also has a green dress with blue fish that's equally as sweet. My mom found them in a shop back in her neck of the woods; we instantly fell in love with them both. Thankfully, Lolli did too! In fact, they're her 2 favorite dresses. As for the smocking itself-- I just can't get enough of it!

As for the bread-- I still haven't taken the bread machine out of its box! BUT... I did make chocolate chip cookies (the most logical starting point :), banana bread muffins, and pancakes; all were huge hits! Hopefully, I'll make some "real bread" soon! I'll surely keep you posted. And thanks for asking~

Heather,
Thank you for your comment and for the scripture. It's one of my very favorite passages. He certainly knows how to lavish us with His love!

I hope you have a beautiful week rejoicing in His love. And baking bread!

Much love,
Christine
