1000 Gifts: June days

"The true way to live is to enjoy every moment as it passes,
and surely it is in the everyday things around us
that the true life lies."

--Laura Ingalls Wilder

A joy-filled heart, a thankful heart, another week for counting...
the last of the peonies

a wrist full of silly bands... his favorite new collection

chai tea with friends and laughter around the table

play time

our neighbors' strawberry patch... and their wonderfully generous offer to share

the way she says "berries"... they're her "boo-eys"

plans for next year... finally coming together

and shopping for school books-- DONE!

convention companions, shared meals, and homeschool planners

my very best friend-- and an all-be-it brief time together

my mama's generosity and her help with the littles

dinner with classmates-- their kindness, their hospitality, their friendship for more than 15 years

basketball hoops and scooters, popsicles and cupcakes

and plans to get together again-- very, very soon!

"Now, our God, we give you thanks,
and praise your glorious name."

1 Chronicles 29:13

holy experience

and the list continues...

We had so much fun with you guys.

My kids all talked about how they didn't want the time to end, they loved your kids.

Come visit ANYTIME. We would love to come up your way soon too.

You are so blessed!!

Looks like you guys are having lots of summer fun ... I'm jealous that you've got most of your planning and purchasing behind you! ;)

I bet I know of a little girl who was excited to get more strawberries - lol! Great pics, BTW!!

Our visit was WAY TO BRIEF! My heart ached as we parted... longing to hang with you and just chat some more... It was wonderful seeing you guys. I had a blast... THANK YOU for continuing to encourage me on this journey... for "dragging" :) me into homeschooling... it's the best decision we ever made. God used you. oh - and get to buying that new Mac! I want to see you when we start our bible study. I'm getting my book tonight!

Love you-

Our strawberries are done...more or less. They're everbearing, so they should produce a handul here and there, but the heavy bloom is done. Strawberries are one of God's greatest gifts to the Earth, I think.

You have a "true" life Heather filled with such lovely blessings. You bring such joy with the open gratitude of your heart. I think it doubles the blessing.

Popping over from the Gratitude Community! What a lovely list. We are big silly band fans here, too :)
