snow! snow! snow! and eyes of wonder

brand new snow gear pulled from its place in the closet, hats & gloves and boots pulled on tight, great expectations & pent-up excitement... a dash out the doors for winter delight

the first snowball fight of the season

the beauty of Creation, all covered in white

my youngest indoors... as she carried her stool from one window to the next, content to watch (& laugh at) her brothers' antics outdoors

"Mom, Mrs. Juliette [our elderly neighbor] is outside, trying to shovel her steps.
I'm gonna go over and help her."

the glow of candles in the windows, the twinkling of Christmas lights outdoors, the light cast from streetlamps... all bouncing off the freshly fallen snow

a big pot of chili and dinner bowls scraped clean

steaming mugs of hot chocolate and root bear floats (with Snow Dream ice cream)--
the perfect snow-time treats :)

cinnamon scented candles & freshly baked cookies

a warm cozy blanket, a new book to read, a comfortable chair with a view from the window... aahhh!

Heather ~ What beautiful pictures you have of the snow!!! Oh, I am so jealous!! ;)
We did get snow here last year and some last Friday ... really, only a small handful of times in my life!!!
Your pictures look like a winter wonderland ... just in time for Christmas!!!
Have a great week, my friend!! ;)
Lovely photos!! Still all brown here. :-( Your kiddos are precious. Blessings to you!
Just. wow. I love all of it.
And we finally got a light light dusting.
Gorgeous photos ... I love to see the snow ... just see it not really go "out in the cold" ;)!
Thanks for sharing your blessings with us!
Now you've gone and made me wish for just one good snow fall. We lived in the north for years and have had our fair share of snowy days. I didn't think I missed them, but your warm, lovely list made me just a teensy bit nostalgic.
