Wonderland

Yesterday we ventured into the city...
and dazzled our way through the "Holidays on Display" exhibition
at the National Museum of American History.
There the kiddos' great-great-grandfather's work is on display through Labor Day~
what a treat to see a family name featured in the Smithsonian!!

Several cousins drove in from the 'burbs, as well, and three of Chris's aunts came, too...
it was a lovely Christmas-in-July sort of reunion!

And of course we had to finish up our day with a race across the Mall :)

Heather, what a blessing to live close to so many great, educational places ... but to have a family tie to the display - how wonderful!!!

LOVE that last picture! What a fun memory with the cousins!

Have a great weekend!
