1000 Gifts: A new month

The unthankful heart... discovers no mercies;
but let the thankful heart sweep through the day and,
as the magnet finds the iron,
so it will find, in every hour,
some heavenly blessings!

~Henry Ward Beecher

0457
fresh produce from the farmer's market

0458
backyard flowers

0459
birthday celebrations with family & friends

0460
a new month on the calendar

0461
a freshly mowed lawn and impatiens in the flower pots

0462
Mom's help in the garden-- bushes that now look almost normal
(the winter snows were awfully unkind to my boxwood!)

0463
bicycle rides around the block... just the boys

0464
I'm sorry.

0465
forgiveness

0466
playful banter and a love of school

9-year old: Oh, I can't wait for summer break (sigh).
5-year old: Why??
9-year old: Because then we don't have to do any school work!! That's everyone's dream.
5-year old: That's not my dream... that's SO not my dream.

0467
a free balloon from the grocery store... and hours of imaginative play

0468
a new AWANA patch... another book complete... a year-long goal-- achieved

0469
enthusiastic kitchen helpers... and more-than-willing taste-testers too :)

0470
Hubby's handy-work around the house... broken things now working once again

0471
the start of a new swim season... and amazing success at their very first meet

0472
commitment and focus, hard work and dedication

0473
perservance

0474
a fresh word from the Lord

0475
time alone in His Word

0476
and accountability... my bff... God's grace upon me

0477
His gentle reminders, His always provision, His never-ending care

0478
one more day

"... I have loved you with an everlasting love;
I have drawn you with loving-kindness."

Jeremiah 31:3

holy experience

and the list continues...

I'm getting ready to call... :) I shared your quote... actually I read it and then in search of my own quote chose the same one - thinking it was different... just goes to show we are cut from the same cloth. :) I'm all over 476 -- for the same reason. :) Love you sister... can't wait to talk to you. And let Momma know the Seedums, the Blue Danube and the tall purplish-red plants are in... still need to plant the black-eyed Susans. :)

I always love your lists, Heather!!

I am so jealous about your farmer's market! Ours doesn't open for another three weeks ... I can't wait!!

Have a great week, Heather! I struggle with finishing well, so I'm really trying to stick to the plan for the next couple of weeks! ;)

Lovely list. I love the scent of a fresh mowed lawn.

I always enjoy reading your lists, Heather!
Thanks for being an unwitting (or maybe witting?) exhortation to see the Lord in all these things, and to persevere and work hard (I need that, I struggle with laziness).

I feel so refreshed and encouraged whenever I read your lists Heather. I love it that your five year old doesn't want a summer break! How about you Mama?
I envy you your Farmer's Market. We just can't seem to find a good one in our area.
Isn't this time of year beautiful? I just love it!
Have a blessed week sweet girl.
