1000 Gifts: In the woods

Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below,
Praise Him above, ye Heavenly Host,
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

--Thomas Ken (1674)

After a weekend away, I count my blessings once again.
Because from His outstretched hand each one flows,
and so to Him, the glory rightly returns.

0495
a weekend in the woods

0496
Mom's and Dad's home... their always-open door

0497
their acceptance... their love... their hearts

0498
rest

0499
bluebirds

0500
family meals around the table... plates licked clean

0501
chocolate cobbler and chocolate malts... yum. yum. yum.

0502
laughter and tale-telling

0503
the tickle monster

0504
memories socked away... precious moments to cherish for a lifetime

0505
lessons in nature... His perfect design (this is a seed pod-- I would have never known!)

0506
teensy impatiens... self-seeded in mama's greenhouse... now potted up and ready for a new home... in my garden

0507
her way, her nature, her soul-- *always* giving

0508
words that speak LIFE

0509
a race through the trees

0510
water guns and hoses (they never disappoint!)

0511
and a Saturday reminder-- many hands make light work

0512
creative gardening-- Mom's late-night effort to keep 4 persistent pups out of her vegetable patch

0513
the "I'm not sick anymore!" dance... a 24-hour bug-- GONE!

0514
and even more wonderfully-- dad's clean bill of health

0515
the Father's healing hand

0516
His faithfulness displayed every single day

0517
and His love written across the skies... everywhere we look

0518
His image, as seen in daddy... his strong embrace that never lets go and never gives up

0519
and reminds me of security in the Father and His everlasting arms

"There is none like the God of Jeshurun,
Who rides the heavens to your help,
And through the skies in His majesty.
The eternal God is a dwelling place,
And underneath are the everlasting arms..."

Deuteronomy 33:26-27

so glad you got to have a weekend away. The pictures are awesome - love the one of your man and the kids. :) tell your mom the flowers she gave me are doing great... I love the tall ones with the purplish-red leaves - they are already blooming! :) Love you friend!

Beautiful photos, once again. I love being in the middle of God's creation too... I wouldn't mind living in a cabin in the woods the rest of my life. God's hand is just so obvious in nature-- I wonder how people can miss it.
Thanks for the reminder of His love for us as seen in His creation.
Have a beautiful week, Heather.

Lovely pictures, Heather! Your parents have a beautiful place tucked away in the trees!

I love the pic of your hubs with the kids, too! What a great picture for celebrating Father's Day in a few weeks!! ;)

Such a joyous list Heather. We spent the weekend with our oldest son and his family - wonderful. It is these precious times that knit us together and create such wonderful memories for our children and for us.
I'm so glad you had the time together.
